LEAP ORG. founded in 2009, is an 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Our mission is to instill positive moral growth and sustainable life skills in youth.
LEAPING FOR SUCCESS THROUGH FAITH, EDUCATION, AND OUTREACH!
LEAP, which stands for Leadership, Enlightenment, Achievement, and Perseverance, also teaches its members about Outreach, Responsibility, and Growth.
Our positive youth development program views young people as “resources” who have much to offer rather than as “problems” that need to be treated or fixed.
Our vision is to implement sustainable programs that equip and empower youth with the knowledge and resources they need to improve their decision making to lead healthy, productive lives.
Youth referred from Juvenile Court, DCS, Schools, and/or parents who report issues with tobacco, drugs, or anger management must complete 12 weeks of group counseling.
Leadership and Life Skills
Youth that voluntarily enroll in our program enjoy innovative and fun leadership workshops where they will both learn and apply essential leadership skills including self esteem, etiquette, team building, nutritional culinary arts, & physical fitness.
Youth ages 15 to 18 are eligible for our career readiness program. JumpStart Success is a comprehensive and flexible career exploration and job-readiness curriculum.
Our licensed social workers provide case management, counseling, and resource coordination services to young people.
Through a partnership with the Advantage Learning Center we are able to provide tutoring for all subjects and all ages. The tutoring program is one – on – one and begins with an evaluation.
Each year, we award scholarships to the winners of our LEAP 7 Points Quest Scholarship Essay Contest.
We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the churches, non-profit organizations, and businesses that have helped support LEAP. Thank you for aiding us in making our vision a reality.
We are looking for additional sponsors to advertise on our digital sign that over looks Wilma Rudolph Blvd. With a daily traffic count of 37,000 vehicles, this is a great opportunity to promote your business while supporting a worthy cause.
